As Radio 2 celebrates the 50th anniversary of the release of the 鈥淎bbey Road鈥� album - comedian, presenter, actor, former footballer, Liverpudlian and more importantly Beatles fan - John Bishop - invites you on board his Beatles tour. To Beatles fans the Abbey Road Studios are a shrine 鈥� making Abbey Road one of the most important addresses in the musical world. But it鈥檚 a long and winding road that led the fab-four from the Cavern Club in Mathew Street, Liverpool to their final appearance on top of the Apple Building, Savile Row, London . What were the other locations, studios, clubs, halls, theatres, homes, streets and places that led to stardom and why were they so important in Beatle history. Penny Lane, Strawberry Field, The Cavern, The Casbah Club, Woolton, Wavertree and Dingle, the Liverpool Empire, the London Palladium, the Indra, the Kaiserkeller 鈥� the bright lights and sometimes the red lights.
