Released on the 26th of September 1969, Abbey Road included Beatles classics ‘Come Together’, ‘Something’, ‘Here Comes The Sun’ and the groundbreaking 16-minutes-long medley of songs on the second side of the LP. To celebrate its 50th anniversary, we’ll hear how The Beatles created the last album they recorded together. The two documentaries feature archive interviews with John, Paul, George and Ringo and their producer George Martin. There are also contributions from sound engineers Glyn Johns, John Kurlander and Alan Parsons, plus commentary from the album’s remix producer Giles Martin, journalist David Hepworth, writer and film director Cameron Crowe and musicians Slash and Bob Seger. The music includes previously unheard outtakes from the 1969 sessions and also Paul McCartney demos of his songs written for Mary Hopkin and Badfinger.
