Martin Freeman presents a two-part celebration of one of the most groundbreaking albums ever released. The double LP called The Beatles, forever known as ‘The White Album’, was 50 years old in November 2018. These two documentaries go deep into the album’s creation with a wealth of studio outtakes and demos recorded during 1968. There are interviews with those who were in the studio – Paul McCartney, George Harrison, Ringo Starr and producer George Martin. In addition, informed commentary is heard from composer Howard Goodall, who illustrates his points at the piano, the 50th anniversary remix producer Giles Martin, journalist John Harris, writer and film director Cameron Crowe, Foo Fighter Dave Grohl and producer Rick Rubin.
