How did a junk diet make a teenager 'blind'?
British eye doctors have reported on the case of a 17-year-old teenager whose sight has deteriorated to the point of blindness because of his diet. For years he ate only chips, crisps, white bread and the occasional sausage or slice of ham because he hated the texture of most other foods. Doctors in Bristol have written about the case to highlight this very unusual instance of malnutrition-related sight loss. Family doctor Graham Easton discusses the case with Claudia Hammond.
