Community groups voice concern over stop and search extension plans
A coalition of Black and Asian community groups is concerned over plans to extend stop and search powers. A pilot study was started in April 2019 to examine the effectiveness of this tactic across seven regions of the UK. It has not waited for the results of this. The Runnymede Trust is one the groups who have written to the Home Secretary. Dr Zubaida Haque is the Deputy Director of the organisation
