The dying campaigner fighting for health reform
In 2016, just after the birth of his son, Ady Barkan was diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease - known as ALS in the United States. In the following years, he's lost the use of his body and voice - but he's determined to continue to fight for healthcare for all. He's now one of the most influential campaigners in America and has just published his memoir "Eyes to the Wind" offering an insight into how important it is for him to leave a positive mark on the world.
