Babies were fed with bottles over 3,000 years ago
Small clay pots shaped like animals unearthed in Bavaria have provided the first direct evidence for how prehistoric infants were fed.
The discovery suggests milk was given to Bronze and Iron Age infants to supplement breast feeding over 3,000 years ago and Dr Julie Dunne of the University of Bristol says the practice could have contributed to a baby boom.
