Trump lashes out over impeachment inquiry
US President Donald Trump has angrily lashed out at congressional Democrats after they vowed to issue legal summonses to the White House this week.
They are demanding documents relating to the administrations dealings with Ukraine, which is now at the heart of an impeachment inquiry. They have warned that obstruction charges could be brought against the president's team if they do not cooperate.
Using a vulgarity, the Republican president accused Democratic leaders of dishonesty and even treason.
The inquiry is looking into a phone call in which The President pressed Ukraine's leader to investigate his Democratic political rival Joe Biden.
