The Champions League team-talk that went viral
Red Bull Salzburg head coach Jesse Marsch discusses his half-time team talk against Liverpool in the Champions League and admits he was taken aback by the reaction of his players.
Marsch’s part German, part English motivational speech in the dressing room at Anfield was filmed and went viral on social media, racking up millions of views.
His players were certainly inspired. They were 3 nil down against Liverpool but fought back to make it 3-3 in an incredible second-half, before Mohamed Salah scored a late winner for the English Premier League leaders.
Marsch has been telling John Bennett about the story behind famous team-talk and what he’s made of the reaction around the world.
