The Catholic priests who are married
This month Pope Francis is holding a synod at the Vatican about Catholicism in the Amazon region, and one hot topic is whether to allow married priests there.
The region doesn't have enough priests to serve the communities there, and so ordaining married men could be an option; but it's a controversial topic for a Roman Catholic Church that usually demands lifelong celibacy from men of the cloth.
However, the Eastern Catholic Church has long allowed married priests. Here's one from Romania to explain why he chose a married priestly vocation, rather than a celibate one.
