Could a sea sponge from Antartica help treat malaria?
An extract from an Antarctic sea sponge could provide a new treatment to kill the malaria parasite during the dormant stage of its life cycle, before symptoms develop. Chemists Bill Baker and John Adams, from the University of Southern Florida, explain how.
