'I fought depression outside the boxing ring'
Derry boxer Sean McGlinchey has spoken publicly for the first time about his battle with depression. The Creggan man secured a bronze medal at the Commonwealth Games back in 2014 but no one knew what was really going on inside his head. At the age of 16 he sustained an injury which led to a lot of free time out of the boxing ring. He says that led to loneliness and he even contemplated taking his own life. Sean, who's now 27, has been speaking to our reporter Dean McLaughlin about his personal journey and what sustaining an injury can do to a sportsman.
