Vietnamese families fear relatives among 39 dead in lorry

Police are continuing to question four suspects over the deaths of 39 people inside a refrigerated trailer, amid reports some victims were Vietnamese. The 大象传媒 has been contacted by six families who fear their relatives were among those found in Essex on Wednesday.

大象传媒 East Asia editor Giang Nguyen says he has been inundated with messages from families inquiring about missing relatives while the sociologist Dr Tamsin Barber, who studies the Vietnamese diaspora, discusses the cost - and the appeal - of coming to the UK.
