The 'lost' Ian Rankin novel being reworked and republished

Ian Rankin is one of the most widely read authors in the UK, best known for creating the Edinburgh police detective John Rebus. However this week he released a very different book, one which, when he first produced a manuscript for it 30 years ago, he wanted to disown. Only 1000 hardback copies of 'Westwind' were published in 1990, yet it took on cult status with many of Ian's fans. The author has now reworked the book to his own satisfaction and it is getting a full publication. Ian took time out from his busy writing career to speak to Seamus McKee about 'Westwind', his son Kit and what is on his music playlist at the moment!
