'I recruited kids to sell drugs, now I help them avoid crime'
At his worst, former gang boss Matthew Norford recruited children to sell class A drugs. Now he works with the police, NHS and schools to help young people avoid crime.
From the age of 13, Matthew Norford was involved in violent crime.
He grew up in a criminal family, and at his worst he was a Manchester gang boss making 拢2,000 a day, recruiting and grooming children to sell class A drugs.
Seven years ago he broke the cycle and began working with the police, NHS, social workers and schools to prevent other young people being sucked into a life of crime.
He told his story to 大象传媒 Radio 5 Live's Sarah Brett.
