The nativity scene depicting holy family as caged refugees
A nativity installation depicting Mary,Joseph and Jesus separated in cages has caused a stir in a southern California city, a few hundred kilometers from the US border with Mexico. In a strong statement on the treatment of migrants by the current US government, the installation set up by Claremont United Methodist church shows Joseph and Mary, in separate cages, facing a cradled baby Jesus in a cage, with Joseph鈥檚 arms outstretched towards him. Rev. Karen Ristine, the lead pastor of the Church spoke told 大象传媒 Newsday why the church set up this installation.
