‘We associate eating vegetables with lack of money’ in Tanzania
Neema Lugangira is a woman on a mission. After being told to sort out her diet in order to combat severe migraines, she started looking more closely at food and was shocked to find out that more than 40 per cent of children are malnourished in her home district of Kagera on the shore of Lake Victoria in Tanzania. Ms Lugangira is now the driving force behind a campaign to teach young Tanzanians how they can feed themselves. She spoke to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Newsday’s Alan Kasujja.
