Marathon running 'improves artery health'
Researchers have found that training for and completing a marathon improves the health of a new runner's arteries as if they were four years younger.
Six months of training makes arteries more elastic, reducing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
Dr Charlotte Manisty who's a consultant cardiologist and an associate professor, lead the study and explained what they found.
