The first winners of The Rachael Bland New Podcast Award have been talking about recording their series ‘Hooked: The Unexpected Addicts’, which takes a warts-and-all look at the reality of addiction through the eyes of those recovering from it.

Recovering addicts Melissa Rice and Jade Wye won the award that was launched in memory of 5 Live presenter Rachael Bland who died from breast cancer in September 2018. After her diagnosis, she co-hosted a 5 Live podcast about cancer, You, Me and the Big C.
