What to do about private parking tickets
Every day the Government’s Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency, DVLA, sells the addresses of 24,000 registered keepers of vehicles to private parking companies so they can demand up to £100 from them for breaking car parking rules. Figures from the DVLA also show the number of demands is going up by 20% or more every year. So what should you do if you get a ticket? Pay up, ignore it or appeal?
