Fighting locust swarms with drones
Food and Agriculture Organization locust forecasting officer Keith Cressman says drones could control swarms. Using them to collect real-time data allows scientists to predict where the insects might fly to next and smaller rotary drones could even spray the swarm with pesticide, killing the locusts.
