'There is no need for it, it's sending out a message of the past'
There has been widespread condemnation of dissident republicans accused of putting up anti-police recruitment posters in parts of Derry. The posters, which have since been removed, showed Peadar Heffron - a Catholic officer seriously wounded by a dissident republican bomb. The move comes as the PSNI attempts to attract more Catholics in a new recruitment campaign.
