Being just a few day’s before Christmas Pete Wilson’s been exploring Gloucestershire Carols, Wassails and Mummers plays with five people who have worked very hard to collect as many as they can.

You’ll hear different versions of well known carols and that The Holly and the Ivy was written in Chipping Campden in 1909 by a lady named Mary Ann Clayton.

Carol Davies and husband Gwylim tell Pete about a Carol which you’ll hear in the programme. It’s titled ‘Oh Grand and Oh Bright’ sung by Betty Aldridge.
