Beowulf has defeated the monster Grendel and prepares to leave for home. But during the celebrations Heorot is attacked again - by Grendel's mother - and Beowulf must fight again. Beowulf and the Danish thanes track Grendel's mother to an underwater cave, where Beowulf dives in, ready to do battle.
