Coronavirus: Gordon Brown calls for urgent global co-ordination
More than 100 past and current global leaders have come together to demand the creation of an聽international task force to co-ordinate a multi-billion dollar fund, which they hope countries who have the money will provide. They have written to the G20, and want the focus of the task force to be the search for a vaccine, a cure and a plan to revive the global economy.
Among the signatories is a former prime minister of the UK, Gordon Brown. He led the group that came up with the stimulus package after the financial crisis in 2008-2009.聽 He's been telling Razia Iqbal about this the impetus behind this move.
