Kaiser Chiefs record lockdown version of ‘Oh My God'

Kaiser Chiefs have told ´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio 5 Live about recording a 'stay at home' version of their 2005 single 'Oh My God’.

Simon Rix, the band's bassist, told Tony Livesey that he wasn't sure if they were going to be able to at first because of technology.

The band changed the lyrics to work with the current lockdown.

All the band members then recorded their music parts separately in their own homes, before sound technician Chris Leckie mixed all the recordings together.

Keyboardist Peanut said: "We've had quite a few NHS people tweeting us going 'this has really cheered me up', 'this has really brightened my day', so the fact that we can do something so simple to say thank you and recognise the amazing work that these people are doing in these hard times... it's a joy to be a part of."
