Leading Namibia's coronavirus information campaign... at the age of 23
Namibia's new deputy minister for information, communication and technology was appointed just a week after coronavirus hit the country. At the age of just 23, Emma Theofelus is giving daily briefings to the nation about what the government is doing to fight the spread of the pandemic, something she describes as a "baptism of fire". She says, "It has been a baptism by fire as there are still a lot of doubts about my experience".
The country currently only has 16 recorded cases and as yet no deaths, so does that make it harder to persuade people to respect the lockdown that's currently in place?
