Nigeria gets back $311 million stolen by Sani Abacha
The United States and Jersey in the Channel Islands have returned money, which was looted by Nigeria's former leader Sani Abacha in the 1990's. The deal to return the stolen funds, which were confiscated after being hidden in offshore bank accounts, includes a condition that Nigeria must spend it on building new infrastructure. Jersey's External Affairs Minister, Ian Gorst, tells the 大象传媒's Russell about the 20 year campaign to repatriate the stolen money.
