A lifelong West Bromwich Albion fan has told 大象传媒 Radio 5 Live how music related to the club, and messages from players were played to him whilst he was in a coma after contracting coronavirus.

Peter George was unresponsive in intensive care after contracting Covid-19 when his wife Theresa came up with the idea of playing music associated with the team, such as The Lord is my Shepherd, Faithless and The Liquidator.

Speaking to 5 Live presenter (and fellow Albion fan) Adrian Chiles, Theresa said her husband鈥檚 leg "started kicking鈥� when he heard the music and he 鈥渢ried to get out of bed to dance鈥� after a couple of days hearing the messages from players.
