George Floyd: tackling racism and 'micro aggressions' at work
The American Public Health Association issued a statement this week saying: 鈥渞acism is a public health crisis in the US. Racism is a longstanding systemic structure, it must be dismantled, through brutally honest conversations, policy changes and practices.鈥
According to psychologists, racism isn't just about the fear of arrest, abuse or brutal attacks. It's often more about day-by-day 'micro-aggressions' which are difficult to pin down and challenge. John Amaechi is an organisational psychologist, best selling New York Times author and former NBA player. So what's been the impact of this last week on him?
