Should Confederate statues be removed in the US?

In the United States statues of Confederate leaders - who fought to retain slavery during the civil war - and the explorer Christopher Columbus have been targeted by Black Lives Matter protests sweeping the country. As pressure grows on authorities to remove memorials to pro-slavery generals and colonial figures, the statue of the Confederate Commander, Robert E. Lee has become a flash-point. One of his descendants is Reverend Robert Lee, so does he think it should be removed?
