Stravinsky’s music has long been associated with Neo-Classicism – 20th century music whose structure is similar to that of composers from the Classical period such as Mozart or Haydn, but avoided the lushness of later, romantic music. There are elements of those in his 'Symphony of Psalms', but this is Stravinsky with new sounds, rhythms and feel. The last movement has a truly ecstatic feel, with the choir giving praise to God in a highly expressive manner.
