Italian activists seek EU help to investigate Italy's lockdown
A group of people who set up a Facebook group to share memories of relatives who died from coronavirus in northern Italy, have urged the European Commission to investigate the government's handling of the emergency.
"Noi Denunceremo" - meaning "We will denounce" - lodged 100 new cases to be investigated. The group, which has over 60,000 members, is trying to establish whether there was a deliberate decision to delay locking-down three economically productive towns, resulting in more deaths as the virus spread.
Stefano Fusco lost his grandfather to the virus and is a co-founder of the "Noi Denunceremo" group.
