Scottish and UK governments clash over post-Brexit powers

The UK government has unveiled its blueprint for policing trade between different parts of the country after the post-Brexit transition period ends.

It wants Scotland to recognise standards drawn up elsewhere in the UK.

The Scottish government has said it is worried about the transfer of powers from the EU could be centralised.

Scotland's Constitutional Affairs Secretary Mike Russell and Alister Jack, Secretary of State for Scotland, were at odds over food regulations, including whether chlorinated chicken could be sold here, even if the Scottish Parliament was against it.

They were speaking to Politics Scotland's Gordon Brewer.
