Your questions answered - Leicester's lockdown restrictions
In Blaby and Charnwood, the local lockdown has been lifted. This means non-essential shops are re-opening….. along with bars, restaurants and hairdressers.
But in Leicester City, Oadby and Wigston, the lockdown remains in force.
- This means Bars restaurants and hairdressers will remain shut for another two weeks.
- However, other non-essential shops will open from the 24th of July.
- You are still able to meet in a group of up to 6 people…. outdoors only… as long as you follow strict social distancing.
- And ‘Single-adult households’ can still form a support bubble with one other household.
- But travel restrictions remain in place. You should only travel into, out of.. and within.. the lockdown area if your travel is essential.
The next review of the local lockdown will be completed by the 1st of August.
