RIVERS: River Aire
For the latest in our series on rivers, we turn to Leeds and to listener Rachael Unsworth, a tour guide.
One of her tours tells the city's history from the perspective of its river - the Aire. She says the name of the river is a Celtic word, or it could be even older, meaning "Strongly Flowing".
