Democratic Party targets 'progressives' for victory
The first black woman to be chosen as a vice-presidential candidate for a mainstream party in the United States, Kamala Harris, has warned that President Donald Trump's failure of leadership had "cost lives and livelihoods." Ms Harris was speaking at the Democratic Party's virtual National Convention where she accepted her nomination.
Sharon Navarro, a professor of political science at the University of Texas gave 大象传媒 Newsday her impressions of the historic day which also saw former President Barack Obama slam his successor.
