'Mistaken identity' friends demand apology from police
Four young men from Paisley were put through a terrifying ordeal by armed police in a case of mistaken identity.
Professional footballer Thomas Collins and his friends were caught up in an operation last Friday.
They say they were caged in by police cars, had guns aimed at them, were removed from their car and then handcuffed as bystanders watched.
After three hours they were released without charge and claim they were told to "suck it up".
Mr Collins wants an apology from Police Scotland.
He believes they were treated harshly and has suffered nightmares since the experience.
Police Scotland said anyone with concerns about officers' conduct should contact the police.
