India鈥檚 former president Pranab Mukherjee has passed away after testing positive for Covid-19. The virus was discovered when the 84-year-old was admitted to hospital. He served as president of India from 2012-2017, and his political career spanned 51 years. Dr Shruti Kapila is from the Faculty of History at the Corpus Christi College in Cambridge.
