A chat with a stranger leaves Andrew wishing he could visit Mum more often
Mum hasn't driven for years, but Andrew keeps her car so he can take her out in a vehicle that's easy for her to get into and which feels familiar. On the way to the garage to pick it up after its MOT, he chats to the taxi driver. It turns out they're similar ages and both have mothers with dementia who continue to live at home with regular care visits. The conversation leaves Andrew wishing he lived nearer and could do more to help her. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on 大象传媒 Radio Leeds.
