The Tanzanian radio show trying to stop child marriage
In the rural Mwanza region of Tanzania, community volunteers have set up a radio show sharing Covid-19 information and tips on how to cope with the pandemic. The show, aired twice a week, is aimed at helping girls and boys as well as their parents to avoid child marriages as poverty is increasing because of the pandemic. Irene Bitumbe is in charge of the project.
