Oakham woman who used to drink up to four bottles of wine a day now supports people with an alcohol addiction
Us Brits have a complex relationship with alcohol - we drink to relax, drown our sorrows and mark special occasions.
But, as we know, occasionally things can get out of control.
45-year-old Lou Carlyle from Oakham used to drink up to four bottles of wine a day, plus strong lager.
But, having been clean for 14 months, she's now supporting people in Leicester that also have a problem with drink.
Lou now fears there's a big problem brewing with those who are drinking too much alcohol while in lockdown.
Since March, there's been a 10% increase in the number of people being treated by the Drug and Alcohol Wellbeing charity Turning Point in Leicester for an alcohol addiction.
Lou spoke to 大象传媒 Radio Leicester's Jimmy Carpenter.
