This weekend marks 30 years since The Beat first aired on ´óÏó´«Ã½ Local Radio.
The show shares interviews and sessions with established and often big name artists while also promoting great local music from ´óÏó´«Ã½ Introducing.
Artists from across the East Midlands and beyond have been championed on the music show since its inception; some have seen worldwide success such as Mahalia, Jake Bugg and Easy Life.
´óÏó´«Ã½ Radio Leicester's Ben Jackson caught up with The Beat presenter Dean Jackson.
