Ethiopia risks internal military confrontation
Ethiopia's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has ordered a military offensive, after an army base was taken over by forces loyal to the regional government of Tigray. He accused the region's ruling party, the Tigray People's Liberation Front, of launching the attack. On Tuesday, the federal parliament proposed that the TPLF be designated as a "terrorist organisation." William Davison - a Addis Ababa-based senior analyst with the International Crisis Group - outlined the risks involved to 大象传媒 Newsday.
