The fight to save the rare white giraffe
Conservationists in Kenya say they have fitted a GPS tracking device on a rare white giraffe to try to keep poachers at bay. Two white giraffes were killed in March and the hope is that knowing where they are can help rangers to protect the remaining rare animals.
Giraffe expert Derek Lee is Principle Scientist with the Wild Nature Institute and Associate Professor at Penn State University. He told 大象传媒 Newsday what models he believes are the most effective to protect white giraffes.
