Why, when there's no fire, Mum receives a visit from the firefighters
Andrew's finishing his live Saturday radio show when he gets a flurry of missed calls and a text from Mum's carers. It turns out that a knee locked, she couldn't carry on walking and the carers helped her to the floor. She has osteoarthritis and her joints are often stiff, particularly in the morning. Andrew's relieved when a fire service falls team arrives and helps Mum into her reclining chair, with no need for medical intervention. Mum and Me: The Dementia Diary was originally broadcast on 大象传媒 Radio Leeds.
