New better tasting drug for HIV+ kids
1. A new strawberry-flavoured HIV medication has been developed for children as young as new-borns. The impact should be huge because an estimated 1.7 million children (aged 0-14) were living with HIV at the end of 2018. An estimated 100 000 children died of AIDS-related illnesses according to figures by WHO. The new medication comes in a tasty dissolving tablet and initially will be available in six African countries -- Benin, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Uganda and Zimbabwe. 大象传媒 Newsday spoke to Elaine J.
