Get to know Lewisham-based trio PVA.

Forming at a house party two years ago, Ella Harris, Josh Baxter and Louis Satchell make up one of the most exciting new bands on the scene. Anchored as much in funk and electronica as it is in disco and punk, the Lewisham-based three piece have crafted a unique sound that warps between blocky synths, melodic riffs, catchy drum loops and sharp vocals. This melting pot of sounds is largely the product of their diverse influences, which stretches from Bo Diddley to Marie Davidson.

Conjuring up a uniquely London sound, tracks like ‘Talk’ and ‘Exhaust / Surroundings’ are irresistibly cool whilst also feeling catchy and accessible, embodying the essence of London’s underground scene. Having grown up in the capital and played their first shows at venues like the Windmill, London courses through every pore of PVA's music.

After uploading to ´óÏó´«Ã½ Music Introducing for the first time in December 2019, it wasn’t for another ten months that we would be treated to another earworm in the form of the funky, angsty toe-tapper ‘Talks’. Taken from their debut EP ‘Toner’, the track was treated to a remix from than producer extraordinaire Mura Masa, breathing new life into an already wicked tune. According to the band, the EP is a sonic representation of the sounds drawn in to their live sets; bold, captivating and extremely catchy, it really feels like this.
