The United States authorities have confirmed that a cyber attack on federal government systems, reported on Monday, is continuing. Security agencies gave a joint statement that the attack was "significant". The attack could have started as long ago as March and affected several government agencies.

大象传媒 Newsday heard how the computer hack happened from Alex Stamos, a cyber security professor at Stanford University in California and Director of the Stanford Internet Observatory.
