Covid-19: Lithuania now one of Europe's worst-hit countries
Until recently the small northern European nation of Lithuania has been successfully controlling the spread of Covid-19. However, in the last few weeks it has suddenly become one of the worst-hit countries in Europe.
With a population of less than 3 million, Lithuania has reported 97,000 confirmed infections and more than 860 people have died. Lithuania's outgoing health minister, Aurelijus Verygas, explains what went wrong and what steps can be taken to get the pandemic under control.
